You Don't Have to Face This Alone
Whether you're newly diagnosed, mid-treatment, or living with the aftermath — connecting with others who truly get it makes a difference. This community exists because Bret knows that firsthand.
A free community for people navigating cancer — as a patient, a survivor, or someone who loves one. Built by Bret, who's been in the fight himself since 2024.
Bret — Founder
I'm Bret. In 2024 I was diagnosed with Squamous Carcinoma — which came after a Widow Maker heart attack in 2017 and a full heart transplant in 2020. The hits just keep coming.
I built this community because I know what it feels like to sit with a diagnosis and wonder if anyone else truly gets it. Spoiler: they do. And finding those people matters more than any treatment plan or to-do list.
“You don't have to be positive all the time. You just have to keep going. And it helps to have people around who are doing the same thing.”
— Bret

Real conversations for real people going through it
Whether you're newly diagnosed, mid-treatment, or living with the aftermath — connecting with others who truly get it makes a difference. This community exists because Bret knows that firsthand.
Caregivers carry an enormous weight that often goes unacknowledged. If you're the one driving to appointments, managing medications, and staying strong for someone else — this space is for you too.
Anxiety, grief, anger, gratitude — often all in the same afternoon. The mental and emotional toll of a cancer diagnosis is real and valid. Sharing what you're going through can be its own kind of medicine.
Insurance battles, financial strain, medical bills piling up — Bret's been there. Community members share real tips on navigating the healthcare system, finding assistance programs, and making it work.
Survivorship brings its own complicated feelings. Reclaiming your identity, managing fear of recurrence, and rebuilding a life that feels like yours again — these are conversations worth having.
In 2017 Bret had a Widow Maker heart attack. In 2020 he got a heart transplant. In 2024 he was diagnosed with Squamous Carcinoma. He built this store — and this community — because connection and purpose matter when things get hard.
